Workshop med Maya Gaorry
Don´t miss the lovely Maya Gaorry from Brazil/Italy. She was guest teacher at the Layali Festival last year, where she did a success because of her pedagogic skills and personal style.

Maya is travelling around the world to perform and teach. She has been in tour in US, and has attended lot´s of big festival around the world, like Amani Oriental Dance Festival in Lebanon. She has created her own style, ”sambalady”, a mix betweedn samba and oriental dance, a style the she is going to perform at one of the workshops.

All classes will be at Layali Orientale Dance Academy, Hagagränd 2, Odenplan.

Schedule
Fri 30 nov
6-8 p.m Technique and combinations, and some sambalady-steps. Teknik och For improved beginners.
Price: 300 SEK

Sat 1 dec
10 am -1 pm. Sambalady! (New choreography!) Awesome tabla solo with brazilian rythms. Intermediate level. Price 400 SEK
2-4 pm Play the sagat! Technique, steps, combinations and a short choreography with cymbals. (Cymbals are available at the school). Intermediate level Price: 300 SEK

Sun 2 dec
10 am to 1 pm: Orientale: Interpretation, how you improve your expressions with arms, hands, face. Choreography to ”alf leyla we leyla”. Intermediate/advanced level Price: 400 SEK

Saidiworkshop with Siri Ydstie
Sun 2 dec 2 pm-4 pm. Intermediate level.
Siri Siri is one of Norways best dancers, with her own dance school in Oslo. She has been visiting the Layali Festival from the start, being a very much appreciated guest performer.
Siri has her own festival in Norway 1001 natt yearly in Oslo.

Siri is going to teach a nice 2 minute saidi choreography (without a stick).
